The research will be conducted at the Department of Mathematics of the Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences of the University of São Paulo (ICMC-USP) in São Carlos, Brazil.
The project aims at the investigation of problems related to global and/or semi-global solvability of complex vector fields. The post-doctoral research will be centered in the (semi-)global analysis of linear partial differential operators, with special attention to (systems of) complex vector fields and operators given by sums of squares of vector fields, as well as perturbations by lower-order terms.
Applications must be sent directly to Prof. Adalberto Panobianco Bergamasco (apbergam@icmc.usp.br). The following documents are required for the candidacy: up-to-date curriculum vitae, letter of interest, research statement, and names and emails of two references whom we may ask for a recommendation.
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
