The advertised position at the Institute for Mathematics of the University of Vienna is associated with the chair for "Partial Differential Equations" of Prof. Christian Schmeiser.

We are looking for an ambitious, independent, goal-oriented scientist with interest in the connection between individual based and macroscopic PDE models for emergent phenomena. Responsibilities include scientific research, the independent teaching of courses (holding classes within the limits imposed by the collective bargaining agreement) and the conduct of examinations as well as participation in teaching evaluations and in administrative tasks.
