PhD projects are available to work on the numerical analysis of nonlinear multiphysics problems, focusing on novel discretisations (hybrid, virtual, mixed). The projects are led by Assoc. Prof. Ricardo Ruiz Baier, and funded by the Australian Research Council and Monash Mathematics. 

Candidates are expected to have finished a Master's degree in mathematics or an equivalent qualification. A good command of theoretical numerical analysis, scientific computing, functional analysis, continuum mechanics, and PDEs is required.
