Start date: as soon as possible, fixed until 30.06.2024 (This is a fixed-term contract in accordance with Section 2 of the academic fixed-term labor contract act [Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz, WissZeitVG]).

Scope of work: full-time position suitable for part-time

Responsibilities

Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.

Specific Duties

Successful candidates are required to perform interdisciplinary and collaborative research using dynamical systems methods for qualitative dynamics and bounds of energy dissipation as well as heat transfer in reduced models of geophysical flows. The research is part of the project M7 within the TRR 181 (https://www.trr-energytransfers.de).

Requirements

A university degree in a relevant field plus doctorate.

In particular, a sound background in dynamical systems and applied mathematics is required.
