The Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics is seeking applicants for several 6-month or 1-year postdoctoral research fellowships in the fields of Discrete and Convex Geometry.
The positions are within the special semester program Discrete Geometry and Convexity of the new Erdős Center and they will be partially supported by the ERC grants GeoScape and ERMiD. Candidates are expected to show outstanding promise in mathematical research and active participation to the aforementioned research semester.
Two types of positions are offered:
- 6-month postdoc positions, with start date in August 2023;
- 1-year postdoc positions, with start date in September 2023.
Candidates can apply for a 6-month position, a 1-year position, or both.
All positions come with no teaching duties. Candidates are not required to speak Hungarian. The gross salary will be 900,000 HUF per month, supplemented by a travel grant. The amount of the travel grant will be of 250,000 HUF for 6-month positions and of 500,000 HUF for 1-year position (this is somewhat negotiable, depending on the qualifications of the applicants.
