This position is in Prof. Emil Prodan’s research group, in the Physics Department at Yeshiva University in New York. The position opens immediately and ends in June 30th, 2019. The position requires no teaching.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Research Fellow will be responsible for implementing and testing the hypotheses and ideas contained in the research proposal: "Engineering New Materials Based on Topological Phonon Modes." Specifically, the Research Fellow will be responsible of the analysis of the proposed theoretical models and of their computer.

TRAINING:  The Research Fellow will be trained with the methods of operator algebras, K-theory and non-commutative geometry, as applied to dynamical systems, both classical and quantum.

EXPECTATIONS: The Research Fellow is expected to present their progress in periodic reports, conferences, workshops and scientific publications. She/he is also expected to provide guidance to the experimental groups involved with the project.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS: The Research Fellow should hold a PhD in Physics or Mathematics and have good computer skills.
