The Carl-Friedrich-Gauss-Department at Technische Universitaet Braunschweig, Germany is seeking to appoint a
Professor (salary grade W2) in
to start on the earliest occasion.
The Department is looking for an internationally outstanding personality with a research area that completes and enhances the existing emphases of the Mathematics Department. Our desire is a research area from „Applied Algebra“ with focus in fields such as “Discrete Mathematics“ or “Information Theory“ or “ Algebraic Geometry“. The application areas of the applicant should support the common activities to build a research priority in the area of “Mathematics in Data Science“. We expect activities in acquiring third party funding. The Technische Universität Braunschweig emphasizes excellent teaching and expects commitment in teaching courses within the Mathematics Studies as well as appropriate participation in teaching activities for students in non-mathematical studies. Courses are tought in German.
The requirements of the position are defined in Section 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz).
