The University of Bremen is hiring a
Post-doc (wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in, full-time, salary scale 13 of
the German public sector salary system TV-L, fixed-term for 3 years)
– conditional to the release of budgetary funds –
for the research group "Analysis" of Prof. Dr. Anke Pohl at the Department of Mathematics. The position should preferably be filled by October 1, 2018. An earlier and later start of employment may be made possible.
The employment is fixed-term (for 3 years) and governed by the Act of Academic Fixed-Term Contract, §2I (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG). Therefore, candidates may only be considered for appointment if they still have the respective qualification periods available in accordance with §2(1) WissZeitVG.
The interests of Prof. Pohl's research group include analysis, ergodic theory and dynamical systems, and analytical number theory. Further information can be found under

- Independent research on problems that complement the interests of the research group
- Collaboration on projects of the research group
- Contribution to the mathematical education. The teaching load of the position is 4 lecture-hours per week.
