Professor for Numerical Analysis
to begin immediately. The appointment is in accordance with § 98 of the 2002 Universities Act.
The position is at the Institute of Computational Mathematics. The successful candidate is expected to manage the Institute of Computational Mathematics as head of the institute. Research in a current field of numerical methods for partial differential equations is required. In addition, the successful applicant should actively take part in one or more of the university's research priority areas and work closely with the Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) as well as lead a corresponding RICAM research group. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to research and teaching in connection with the academic areas of Mechatronics and Physics at the Faculty of Engineering & Natural Sciences and represent and further develop the academic area of Mathematics in research and teaching. The successful candidate should hold a habilitation in Mathematics or comparable achievements.
An annual gross salary above the minimum amount of € 71,822.80 as stated in the collective agreement will be voluntarily offered.
