With the future of exascale computing on the horizon, it is of critical importance to design numerical algorithms capable of exploiting the underlying computer hardware. The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University invites applicants for a 1-year postdoctoral position in high-performance numerical linear algebra.
The project is focused on exploiting multiprecision hardware in numerical computations targeting future exascale systems, and will involve rigorous error analysis and algorithm development. The candidate should have background in one or more of the following areas:
- Finite precision analysis
- Sparse iterative solvers
- Multigrid/hierarchical solvers
- Parallel numerical linear algebra
The anticipated start date is January 2020.
