The position in accordance with Section 28 subsection 3 of the Hamburg higher education act (Hamburgisches Hochschulgesetz, HmbHG) commences on 1 October 2020 or later.

This is a fixed-term contract in accordance with Section 2 of the academic fixed-term labor contract act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz, WissZeitVG). The term is fixed for a period of three years. The position calls for 75 % of standard work hours per week**.      


Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications and project results may be used in the context of doctorate.

Specific Duties:

 In this project, spectra of geometric operators on singular manifolds are calculated. Furthermore, the short-term existence and long-term behavior of geometric flows (e.g. the Ricci flow) in singular spaces are studied.


A university degree in a relevant field. Very good knowledge in Analysis of PDE's and Differential Geometry.
