The topic of this postdoctoral position is rigorous nonparametric Bayesian inference and uncertainty quantification for nonlinear statistical inverse problems motivated by problems in systems biology and clinical pharmacology.
The postdoctoral researcher will work on the Bayesian component of Project A04 in SFB 1294 ( see  https://www.sfb1294.de/research/research-area-a/a04).
They will work under the supervision of Prof. Han Lie and Prof. Wilhelm Huisinga at the University of Potsdam, and in collaboration with Prof. Markus Reiß at the Humboldt Universität Berlin.

Minimum requirements:
-Ph.D. in mathematics or mathematical statistics;
-Very good knowledge of mathematical analysis, especially functional analysis, measure-theoretic probability, and mathematical statistics;
-Very good oral communication and scientific writing skills in English;
-Strong ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team;
-Experience in scientific computing;
-Interest in mathematical analysis and statistical inverse problems.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the theory of Bayesian nonparametric inference or Bayesian inverse problems, or who can otherwise demonstrate a very good fit to the needs of the position.
