For our institute's involvement in the Cluster of Excellence consortium "EXC PhoenixD", we are looking for a PhD student (m/f/d) with a Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, physics, or electrical engineering with excellent programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python and a background in computer graphics, computer vision, numerical optimization, and/or experimental optics.
The research topic concerns computational imaging, specifically differentiable rendering and inverse problems methods for holographic reconstruction. Experience with one or more of these research topics is an advantage. As a research assistant you will be involved in the teaching activities of the institute, especially in the areas of computer vision and digital image processing. Besides proficiency in German, a very good command of English is essential to publish your results and present your research at international conferences.
The position is remunerated according to TVL-E13 (West). Salary level will be determined according to the applicant's qualifications. This is a full-time position that is not suitable for part-time work. The position is initially limited to two years with the prospect of extension.
