Call for Applications: Distinguished Postdoctoral Researcher Position

Locations: LMU Munich, TUM Munich or University of Tübingen

The Collaborative Research Centre TRR 352 “Mathematics of Many-Body Quantum Systems and Their Collective Phenomena”, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) focuses on investigating the mathematical foundations and regularities of many-body quantum systems. Currently in its first funding period (2023-2026), the CRC is a successful collaboration between the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Technical University of Munich, and the University of Tübingen

In alignment with our commitment to promoting gender equity in research, we are pleased to announce a distinguished postdoctoral position. This initiative aims to enhance the representation of female scientists within our project,providing an exceptional opportunity for talented women to contribute to groundbreaking work in our research area.

About the Program

We are implementing a program that creates additional full-time postdoctoral positions exclusively for female researchers for a duration of 2 years (January 2025 – December 2026). The CRC Board will select one to three distinguishedpostdoctoral candidates from all applications.


Application Instructions

Interested female postdoctoral researchers must first take up contact with one of our PIs at any of our nodes, and obtain their support as host for the proposed research project within the scope of the CRC. Please see our website www.trr352.de for all relevant information on our projects and Principal Investigators. 

Subsequently, please submit the following documents by December 8th, 2024 to our Program Manager Anna Kellerer (anna.kellerer@math.lmu.de):

•      CV (no photo), along with a list of the applicant's publications and presentations

•      A brief research statement outlining the proposed research project (authored by the applicant)

•      A declaration from the hosting PI confirming their commitment to fund the applicant for two years at 50% to match the 50% funding from the CRC.

•      A letter of recommendation (not from the hosting PI)
