A PhD position is available within the Spanish-German research project "Nonlocal Gradients in Variational Analysis and Materials Modelling: Limits, Kernels, Boundaries", funded by AEI and DFG. The project objective is to develop theoretical foundations of nonlocal hyperelasticity, with a focus on the mathematical understanding of nonlocal gradients. 

The successful candidate will be based at KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, working under the supervision of Prof. Carolin Kreisbeck. The intended starting date is March 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. If you are completing or have recently completed your Master’s in Mathematics (or an equivalent qualification) and are enthusiastic about mathematical research, we would be excited to receive your application to become part of our international team.
