Your Responsibilities
- Independent and collaborative research in the field of mathematical foundations and interdisciplinary applications of machine learning
- Collaboration in research projects and projects of the “Applied Mathematics and Machine Learning” working group, in particular in the context of Bayesian and generative models for inverse problems in image processing
- Conception and implementation of independent research projects and participation in the acquisition of the necessary third-party funding
- Independent implementation of courses in the field of machine learning, supervision of students and holding of examinations
- Student support and supervision
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks
Your Profile
- Completed doctoral studies in mathematics, statistics, computer science or a related field
- Ability to deal analytically and numerically with problems in machine learning or applied mathematics, proven by relevant publications
- Sound knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Machine learning, inverse problems, optimization, variational image processing
- Programming skills (e.g. in Python, C++)
- Ability to integrate into the research profile of the IDea_Lab and in particular into interdisciplinary cooperation projects
- Ability to teach in English
- Team, organizational and communication skills
We offer an annual gross salary of € 69,060.59 for a fulltime position.
