PhD student position in Applied Analysis (Inverse Problems)
at the University of Klagenfurt within a project of the Austrian Science Fund FWF with
focus on
Accelerated regularization methods for inverse problems
duration: 3 years
starting date: October, 2025
employment for 30 hours per week
monthly gross salary: about EUR 2700, paid 14 times per year

We are looking for a candidate with master degree in Mathematics, having a strong back-
ground in at least two of the following fields: continuous optimization, functional analysis,
and numerical analysis. Knowledge from convex analysis and/or inverse problems would
be a plus.
