Your Responsibilities

  • Writing a dissertation in the field Algebra and/or Algebraic geometry
  • Independent research projects in the field of mathematics
  • Conduct and assist in teaching activities (1.5 hours per week per semester in average) in English and/or German
  • Present and publish scientific results at conferences and in peer-reviewed scientific journals

Your Profile

  • Strong interest in research in Representation theory and/or Algebraic geometry
  • Strong background in Mathematics, ideally specialising in Algebra and/or Algebraic geometry
  • Familiarity with Knörrer-invariant algebras and related structures is an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team and social competence
  • Very good command of English
  • proficiency in German is beneficial, but not required
  • Completion of an http://M.Sc. degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics or related field prior to appointment
