Doctoral position in analysis / applied mathematics,  Department of Mathematics, TU Munich

A doctoral position (0.5 E13) is available at TUM with starting date 01.03.2027, in association with Professor G. Friesecke. The appointment is initially for one year, and is renewable for a further two years.

Preference is for candidates interested in analysis and algorithm design in electronic structure theory (especially tensor network methods). Strong candidates in other areas pursed by our research group will also be considered.

Successful applicants will hold or are about to complete a Masters in mathematics or physics, and will have previous expertise in a relevant area.
