The Institute of Mathematics at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg, invites applications for a postdoctoral position for a period of three years as

Scientific assistant (wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter)
(Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L, 75% of regular working hours)

with a starting date of September 1st , 2017 or earlier.

Requirements: The successful candidate is expected to have a qualifying university degree (diploma or master) and completed a Ph.D. in the area of geometric analysis. Advanced knowledge in the field of differential geometry as well as in partial differential equations is assumed.

Tasks: In addition to research, the tasks of the future candidate will include teaching, especially in the field of analysis. This includes participation in the institute's lectures and seminars, in examinations and in the guidance and counseling of tutors and students. In addition, active participation in the analysis work group is expected.

The teaching obligation is based on LVVO.
