Faculty Position (W3) at Carl-Friedrich-Gauss Faculty
Full-Professor for Mathematical Stochastics
The faculty seeks for an internationally recognized researcher in the area of mathematical stochastics with a clear application reference and with focus preferably in one of the following areas: stochastic differential equations, modeling and analysis of complex stochastic systems and/or statistical inverse problems.
The successful candidate has very good connection potential to the research profile of the Institute for Mathematical Stochastics and to the main research areas of TU Braunschweig.
In addition, activities related to the acquisition of third-party funding and open-mindedness towards cooperation in the existing scientific environment of TU Braunschweig are assumed and experience in obtaining third-party funds is expected.
The Department of Mathematics currently establishes the initiative “Mathematics in Data Science” and offers, in this context, numerous possibilities for cooperating with institutes representing computer science, engineering, and economics. We expect the future job holder to adequately participate in the research and teaching activities of the department.

The teaching tasks include participation in stochastic courses for students in bachelor and master programs in mathematics, mathematics for finance and industry and in service courses in mathematics for other faculties.
