The FacultyofMathematics(researchgroup of Prof. Erbar) offers two part-time

research positions

starting as soon as possible (E13 TV-L, non-permanent position)

YourTasks

The research group of Prof. Erbarworks in the field of analysis with tight connections to probability and geometry and focuses in particular on interacting particle systems, associated partial differential equations, optimal transport, as well as analysis and geometry on singular spaces. The main responsibilities are:

  •       research in a. m. field (65 %)
  •       teaching duties to the extent of 3 LVS (25 %)
  •       collaborationin academic self-administration and general university administration (10 %)

We expect

  •       scientific university degree (Master's, Magister, Diploma, First State Examination or equivalent) in mathematics or
          a relevant subject (e.g. physics, economics)
  •       very good spoken and written English languageskills
  •       independent, responsible and committed work
  •       cooperative and team-oriented work ethic

Preferable qualifications

  •       research experience in the a. m. area

Remuneration

Salary will be paid according to Remuneration level 13 of the Wage Agreement for Public Service in the Federal States (TV-L). As stipulated in §2 (1) sentence 1 of the WissZeitVG(fixed-term employment), the contracts will end after three years. In accordance with the provisions of the WissZeitVGand the Agreement on Satisfactory Conditions of Employment, the length of contract may differ in individual cases. The employment is designed to encourage further academic qualification. The positions are advertised as 75 % part-time job. In individual cases, this percentage may be reduced on request, as long as this does not conflict with official needs.
